Carbon-Negative Masterbatches

Instantly lower your carbon footprint and material costs without disrupting your existing production. Biomera’s customized carbon-negative masterbatches are concentrated additives from upcycled biomass waste that lock in CO₂.
Designed for seamless blending into conventional or bio-based polymers (PP, PE, PET, PHA, etc.), they displace virgin polymer content.

Our masterbatches significantly reduce the embodied carbon of your existing products (achieving low-carbon to carbon-negative results depending on formulation and loading), often without fundamentally changing material specifications or performance, while also lowering costs.

Biomera offers a range of advanced materials engineered for both responsible end-of-life through composting and, for many applications, designed for repeated use, aligning with EU Single-Use Plastics Directive (SUPD) requirements for reusability. Our Compostable & Reusable Grades
  • V1 (Industrial Compostable): Our initial generation is certified for industrial composting (targeting EN 13432 / ASTM D6400 with bodies like Din, TÜV). V1 is ideal for controlled waste streams where industrial composting facilities are accessible.
  • V2 (PLA-Free, Home & Industrial Compostable): A key innovation, V2 is an independently developed, PLA-free material incorporating biomass fillers. It achieves strong environmental and performance results, targeting certification for both home (e.g., OK Compost HOME by TÜV, BPI) and industrial compostability, offering greater end-user flexibility. V2 materials offer excellent durability for repeated use, while remaining fully compostable at end-of-life.
  • V3 (Plastic-Free, Home Compostable – Samples Target 2026): Our future 100% Bio-based (Plastic-free) material, engineered to be fully home and industrially compostable without any traditional bioplastics. V3 targets exceptional performance, full SUPD compliance, and a carbon-negative lifecycle.
