Your Sustainability Journey
Materials for Every Stage of Transition
We understand that sustainability is a journey. We support every stage of this transition with a spectrum of material solutions – from carbon-negative masterbatches that reduce the footprint of existing plastics, to fully compostable materials, and plastic-free innovations currently in development, for brands ready to go further. Our solutions help partners cut emissions, enhance circularity, and progress towards Net Zero, all while maintaining performance.
Our commitment is to provide transparent, verifiable solutions that deliver real environmental progress.
Our Impact & Performance
Real Impact, Certified Solutions
Choosing Biomera means investing in materials with tangible environmental advantages, backed by data and rigorous verification.
Our Key Commitments & Impacts

Carbon Lock-In & Reduction-Negative
Our biomass-sourced carbon is preserved, significantly reducing product lifecycle emissions. Specific feedstocks can enable sequestration of up to 1.7 kg of CO₂ per kg of biomass component.

End-of-Life Readiness & Waste Valorization
Our solutions include certified compostable options (targeting EN 13432, OK Compost HOME, etc.) that return nutrients to the soil, and durable platforms for long-term carbon storage, all while valorizing biomass waste streams.

Safe Chemistry & Compliance
All materials are engineered free from PFAS, BPA, and SVHCs. We ensure food-contact compliance where required (e.g., EU, FDA standards) and align with directives like the EU SUPD and EPR frameworks.

Lifecycle Insights & Reporting Support
We are actively developing ISO-aligned Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) capabilities to provide future carbon footprint data, supporting your ESG reporting and sustainability claims.
Our Design Philosophy
Biomera is a dedicated enabler of the circular economy — and we believe true circularity must be carbon-conscious by design. That means creating materials that flow through both technical and biological cycles, while actively reducing emissions and locking in carbon.
Materials Engineered to Close the Loop
How our materials and approach deliver on circularity and climate impact
- Upcycled & Renewable Inputs: We start with diverse, non-food competing biomass residues that would otherwise decompose and release CO₂.
- Biological Cycle: Our compostable materials (V1, V2, V3) are engineered to return safely to the biosphere through industrial or home composting, completing the loop and enriching the soil.
- Technical Cycle: Our carbon-negative masterbatches are designed for durable goods, enabling long-term carbon lock-in and keeping materials in high-value use.
- Plastic-Free Innovation: Our V3 platform pioneers a new generation of materials that bypass the challenges of plastic pollution and fossil carbon entirely.
- Partnerships Across the Value Chain: We partner across the value chain to support real-world end-of-life strategies, help clients meet their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations (e.g., through materials designed for improved recyclability or compostability that may influence eco-modulated fees), and achieve shared sustainability goals.
Our goal is to provide materials that not only fit into regenerative systems — but that actively accelerate the transition to a Net Zero future
